Is there any viable quantity for a bicycle tire lying around?
Are you intending to use this on a regular car tire?
For a bicycle tire.
For some odd reason the tire blew out completely unseating the bead from the wheel while parked.
Could have something to do with my inflating it 5 psi shy of maximum limit of the tire.
Weird though. It was parked and immobile when it happened.(with no witnesses, of course.)
Stuff like that happens. A friend of mine had his wheelchair tire blow in the middle of the night.
I read an article just yesterday about how iffy bike tires can be to run tubeless, especially road tires which are run at higher pressures.
The article basically stated that you shouldn’t run them over 60PSI otherwise they can be prone to unseating.
I used to run Stan No-tubes in my mountain bike when I rode. I never got a flat again after doing it. I would at times fix flats maybe 3-4 times on a ride. It sucked
Sounds like what happened to my tire. Except these were 2.0" tires that had a max rating of 65psi (which I usually run at ~30psi) They were thin bead though, so looks like I found out what too much air is for this tire.
