DMS Party Hint: Cold 2-liter bottles of soda @ Shell on Crosby

For those of you who wish to throw parties with food and drink: If you have the food taken care of but not the drink, stop by the Shell station at Crosby & the southbound I-35 frontage road. Sure, it looks like a dive, but in the beverage section on the bottom shelf (floor) of the coolers, you will find various cold 2-liter sodas! This is how I provided the drinks to go along with all those Jimmy John’s sandwiches when catering the Machine Learning meetup with GDG Dallas.

Just be sure to watch for the end-of-shift time at about 6 or 7 PM for some nearby company, since the checkout line can get pretty long when they’re all piling in to buy beer.

then take the empty bottle and add the contents from a heater from an MRE & a little water, screw on the cap and have a bang!

Can you make ice cream in a 2 Liter bottle? Guess we will have to find out.

I’m sure the answer is “yes”, but for a REAL challenge, let’s combine this with Tom’s MRE Heater recommendation: make ice cream, in a 2 litre bottle, using the MRE heater (is loud bang part of the challenge?)…
