Wow! Looking at all the goodies out there and the plethora of photos of each, it must have been an amazing amount of work to organize this. Thank you and everyone else who helped!

Aaaand I’m seeing stuff I didn’t know we were selling. It’ll be interesting.

That title makes it sound like we are going out of business.

A reasonable interpretation. What title would you use?

I would think something along the lines of “equipment inventory reduction” would be more appropriate…

Or surplus sale or something

New toys are coming, so old favorites are searching for a new home.

I think we ARE going out of the “storing shyte we’ll probably never use in the middle of the floorspace we’re totally about to use” business and going into the “now we’re totally using this floorspace for committees” business…

I’ll ask them to tweak to title to make it clear we’re not going out of business :grinning:

I also need language from @Team_PR @TourGuides that we want to include for auction winners that state we’ll have folks conducting tours during the pickup window that Saturday afternoon.

Be nice if it was part of the listing for bidders and not limited to winners.

I personally don’t care if people think we’re going out of business, but while they’re tweaking the title maybe they could also change…

  • Makers Space → Makerspace
  • Carrolaton → Carrollton

Assuming that the other 3½ pages of items, descriptions+categories are forthcoming.

They are back there now still working. So I’d say so.

Oh man. So many goodies. Bad time to live in an apartment…

It will save me a lot of money. You might be on to something.

There seems to be some contradictory information.

The narrative says pickup is one day only but the details show 6/24 through 6/28 for pickup.

Also, do I understand correctly that the inspection period is just a few hours before the auction closes? Do people typically bid prior to the inspection period?

Blithely assuming that the items remain at DMS and that the inspection period is largely … academic … for members, however randos out there will probably want more generous terms.

The one day thing is boilerplate. This is how most of their auctions work. The DMS auction has too many lots for third normal 5 hour window, so the multi day option is needed. Plus, we have several large items.
