We will be bringing one PolyPrinter and the PrintrBot Metal to the Discovery Faire that is being held this Saturday at the Central Library Downtown Dallas…

Who wants to volunteer and come hang out with me? It’s only three hours… It’d be great if I had some company, so we can take turns showing the visitors how the printers work 'n help them stick their googly eyes onto the bookmarks… hehe… oh 'n check out the rest of the floors 'n all! Lemme know!

Howdy Makers!

I had a meeting today with the staff of the Audelia Road Branch of the Dallas Public Library. I would like to follow up more on that in a separate post.

Dallas Public Library has an upcoming event on June 20th that they are very excited about and openly welcome our participation as the Dallas Makerspace. They are willing to make accommodations for us to show who we are.

Proposed ideas include a simple “make and take” (make something, have souvenir / trinket), or demonstrations. This post serves as a call for interest. Please feel free to reply here if there is anything that you wish to offer or bring to the table.

I can volunteer, I’m a new member and not quite a expert on the 3d printers yet, but I’m a expert at sticking googly eyes on stuff. I’ve also trained thousands of people in law enforcement, so kids shouldn’t be a problem, they have the same attention span. Let me know if I will be needed and what I need to do, wear, bring, etc. …

I’m horrible with names (especially putting two 'n two together with forum names and real names… ).

It would be great to have someone else there! Have you bought a DMS shirt? If so, you might consider wearing it…
