Accomplishments since April 27th 2015
- Acquisition of the Tascam DR-70D for Podcasting + Field Recording.
- First two “Introduction to Audio Recording” courses delivered (prerequisite to use the Tascam).
- Submitted 15 courses for month of June
- Creation of an “On Air” sign.
—Request for DMS Digital Media + On Air Sign - DMS Board of Directors approved acquisition of parts for the workstation upgrade. Once built, we have the ability to edit and render 1080P plus compressed 4K footage.
- DMS Board of Directors approved acquisition of Adobe CC for the above mentioned machine.
- DMS Studios Podcast in pre-production mode. Tentative name is “DMS Studios: The Creator’s Playground” - Podcast to be produced monthly.
- Two Podcasting studios
Amended Digital Media Committee Goals for 2015-2016
From Consumer to Pro-sumer/ From Pro-sumer to Pro
The Digital Media Committee will educate and provide resources to create members audio or video projects. Teach members and the public how to effectively produce audio and visual projects. Also includes Digital Design, Animation, Graphics, and Virtual reality environments.
Digital Media will also offer project opportunities such as the DMS Podcast, Lightning tours, How To Videos, and the DMS quiz show.
What can Digital Media Members do to help?
- Attend Digital Media classes and learn about Digital Media resources
- Teach a Digital Media class (or two)
- Let us know what projects you created as a result of the Digital Media Committee coursework.
- Share your projects!
- Record a voiceover…
- Participate and learn with DMS projects.
- Record Your Events
