Was trying to use the dewalt planer, but it doesn’t seem to feed. Looks like rollers aren’t turning. Before I pop the top and check belts, does anyone know the status of it?

Coordinate with @AlexRhodes if you can first. It was working on the night of 10/30 for sure. He’s opened it up a few times and replaced the blades with helical cutter.
It was working as of thursday. I am on my way to the space now and can check it out as well. There are for hex screws on top to take the cover off. Then 3 red tall wingnuts to see the blade. You might be able to see the feeders there. Make sure it is unplugged. Before taking the cover off.

Quick update on this: the belt was melted out when we opened it up last night so I ‘locked’ it out until Alex gets a new belt in. Looks like it may have seized up while doing some Cedar or other hard, red wood sometime between Thursday and last night.
As a reminder to other members, please let us know when things break. Knowing why something broke helps us prevent it from breaking again in the future. Often this involves minor tweaks to the machine or the basic use instructions.

Thanks for the heads up. I have ordered 2 belts so we have one as a back up. Ebay has yet to tell me when they will arrive though.
