Designing Maintenance Signs for 3D Printers?

I mentioned this on the Discord, but I was told to specifically let @Keith know about my idea. I’m currently customizing a design from Thingiverse to keep track of when a printer fails or has technical difficulties. I’m modifying the below design to include a space for plaques on specific issues (clogged/software/hardware/broken/etc etc).

I’m tentatively designing it to be 6x8" and using Solidworks. Right now I’d like to know whether the 3D Committee would be interested in signing it off and picking their brains on any specifications. Like how many signs, preferred sizing, and anything else they would appreciate to have on the sign.

Hey there!
Well, they look like fun signs, and the thought is apricated, but I don’t think we’ll be needing them in 3D Fab. We have failed prints all the time for tons of reasons, many of which are never understood, and there’s no need to get people who are interested in giving 3D printing a go any reason to be intimidated about trying it. You won’t find signs like that anywhere in DMS for similar and more reasons. As for maintenance, we are all volunteers and if you’re interested in becoming part of the maintainers group you should come to the next committee meeting and let us know.

Yeah I’m interested in becoming a maintenance worker and whatever I can to help out! Guess I’ll come by the committee meeting and learn more
