If you’re seeing this post you probably found out that the default Talk page is now Categories instead of defaulting to Latest. What’s the reason for the change?

Dunno, but I hate it. I got used to clicking the thread title and DMS logo to get back to the list of latest items and now it no longer does it.

It’s a pain in the butt. I thought it was maybe just me having the change. I prefer the latest view personally since it seems to flow well.

On the phone I got used to clicking the icon at the top left to get back to the latest view. I have to hit “back” now instead, but it’s possible in time I will develop that muscle memory

Don’t see any options to set a default view in the user preferences. Probably need to send a request to the developers to add the “feature” of letting users select their default view.

The back button has challenges, in that on this android tablet, using back sometimes (often) takes you to an old list of topics, sometimes, somehow days old.

Like others, I just clicked on icon properties and added the “/latest” and saved. Please note, this is a very high order IT programming work for me, so it is very doable.
This was done intentionally.
Was it explained why? Seems to be a less useful default.
I just want to ask does anyone like it this new way with the categories as the default?

I think for someone that is new to Talk it is a good idea. But if you want to go directly to Talk you just put the link in to go here directly. I personally don’t find that overly burdensome, onerous, inconvenient. But it may help some people locate things at the Space - so overall I don’t mind it. I’m really neutral, it took me less than 60 seconds to figure out what happened and redo my link.
