Who knew the full product line of Datsun before they changed to Nissan? I do remember the 280Z, but according to this post on Craigslist they had a more extensive offering!
Q: Why did the cowboy choose a Dachsund for a pet?
A: Sombody told him to “git along little dogie”!
What!! No “likes”?! Philistines.
What about this one:
Man: That’s an unusual looking dog you have there.
Boy: It’s a Dachsund.
Man: Hmmm… its legs look too short to me.
Boy: What do you mean? All four of them reach the ground…
He looks like such a sweet little guy. I hope they find a good home for him.
Is his name Sentra?
Little known fact (well, ‘legend’ is probably more accurate):
“Datson” is the name of the first passenger car made by the DAT Motor Company (later acquired by Nissan) and “Datsun” was a more marketing friendly variant, so done as to pay homage to the rising sun of the Japanese flag, but also “son” is a Japanese word that translates as “loss”.
I’d probably call this little pup
Fairlady
or
Bluebird
Both known as “legendary low flyers”.
My first car was a 1971 Datsun 240z.
One of my dads besties was a priest in California, who suggested the personalized plates “ICE CAR.” So it was Datsun Ice Car. (Dad joke from a father I suppose.) I was once accosted in a grocery store parking lot by some guy who claimed that my car/plates had been described by Paul Harvey, during his radio show. I have no idea if that’s true, but the guy sure was excited.
In any case “Datsun Ice Dog”,
