Thanks so much! At some point after casting is actually going, I want to set up a class for casting organics specifically, it’s very hit and miss sometimes on success. This leaf casting in particular I purchased from someone else and built the pendant around it.

Ah, so they created a mold from an actual leaf? How many uses would they expect to get out of a single mold for casting metal?
No, they used the leaf itself and burned it in the kiln out as if it was wax, lost leaf casting haha. From people I’ve talked to that tried it, there’s not a good way to make a reusable mold from organic materials. Now I could have made a mold from this leaf before I soldered it, but I felt that it wouldn’t come out in a way I would be happy with.
