I have entered the events for the Dallas Maker Fair, where makers can sell the goods they’ve made to others. We will be advertising to the public, as well as DMS members.
Set-up will be Friday night from 5pm to whenever. I’ve reserved the North Lobby classroom and Interactive.
If you’d like a table, please contact me. I currently have 4 vendors.
Last year we decided to go with “Dallas Maker Fair” as Maker Made was copyrighted.
In the past, people have asked if we might stay open later. My observation has been that people have largely stopped coming by by 4pm. If we had some form of entertainment to bring them in, they might show up later.
And, even at Hawkwood, which stayed open quite late on Saturday night because they had a bar and entertainment, people who showed up late didn’t spend money. They might wander around and look at all the shops, but they very rarely bought.
Will the sale be in both rooms?
If so, how will non-members get between them?
I’m going to have to recruit door openers.
The plan is to be in both rooms.
