Looks like the standard throat plate got knocked onto the floor between the two table saws.
Thanks. Placed it back on the saw.
Oh on this topic i noticed this the other night when it was left on
whoever had it installed put the washer on with a full dado stack, and as you can see there’s barley any thread keeping it on, always use just the nut to secure the dados. And notice the timestamp nso there’s not another he took a picture and didn’t do anything uproarSo this person is a multiple offender? I realize the stack isn’t covered in training, but they shouldn’t leave it in since someone unfamiliar with this setup might chip some carbide removing it. Maybe @IanLee can review the video to identify the member and someone can bring these concerns to their attention. I doubt they are meaning to cause an issue.
I have no clue if it’s the same person I just noticed the lack of thread to hold it on, then put it back and didn’t think much of it being left out, yes it was an inconvenience to me but offender is a pretty rough term, and chipping the carbide is like #16 on the list of things that can go wrong when someone without training uses a dado
The bandit has been identified.
I know who he is. I speak with him frequently and I expect he is just being absent minded. He is trying to finish his extremely ambitious project within a week as he is starting a new job. I will speak to him next week and explain how this is bad etiquette in the woodshop. I have no doubt he will be remorseful and adjust his process. Shout-out to @pjolone1 for taking the effort to identify mr. dado stack:)
P.S. I will suggest he share his project on Talk when completed. It is really impressive and very ambitious for a seemingly new wood worker. I can’t wait to see what he makes after a few years of practice.
