Cutting "wooden" signs

Do we have the capability to do this?

I’m especially curious if the material is a problem (high density urethane) and what software is used to generate the wood patterns.

We do. The software Enroute does have built in textures that you can add to your CAD files. The foam should be fine as long as its dense enough. Multicam showed us a particular foam that is used for sign making. I will ask again what it was as I don’t remember.

That’s great! I was thinking about making a vinyl mask and sandblasting it, but this would be way easier, overall.

High Density Urethane, aka Sign Foam.

Grimco in Carrollton carries various styles of Sign Foam and other substrates. They are a whole seller, but we should be able to setup a Makerspace account
