Last time we played (Mar 2017), it took about 2 hrs 15 min to set up the lights and props, troubleshoot everyone’s installs, and get people playing. Here’s where the time went:
Room setup:
- Chairs need to be stacked and tables need to be moved in first
- Power strips need to be found and brought in
- Lights need to be set up and wired
- Props and fog machine need to be set up (typically a Nate/Dave thing)
- The show controller box and its screen need to be set up and wired
- The server machine needs to be set up
ARTEMIS Install:
- Our previous drag-and-drop method didn’t work last time.
- We were short on USB drives and game installers.
- There are 2 .exe’s that need to be run with admin rights. The installer and the updater. (The steam version of the game still needs the updater)
- We have touch screens, but they need a usb driver to map properly. That’s another setup.exe that needs an admin
Any big ones I missed?
Anyone see opportunity for streamlining this process?
