is anyone willing to teach and be paid for showing me how to learn this skill. my car is kind of a ratty rod and I want to put a thin layer of teal candy that will still show the bare metal, so I am trying to replace a few patch panels.

Awesome mural
Fantastic Mural!
Would you consider teaching a class at DMS?
Of course I would be willing to teach. I should actually let Matt pick the class day since I probably can use his car to demonstrate.
That would be great, I know there are other members that are interested in learning this as well.
This is great. I can have my car available anytime, maybe Sat, or Sunday is best for the most amount of people, March 22 or 29? I think the panel cut out is almost perfect, and I have the patch panel cut with a little overhang. maybe we meet to make sure it is ready to weld prior to class.
I was planning to go to DMS Tue or Thursday evening to attempt rear bumper removal if you are free.
for class you could talk about how to determine where to cut out around rust areas, how to approach the cut out opening by the rear bumper, and maybe what tools to use to shape a small patch.

I can be at the space after 6 either of those days as well and willing to lend a hand any way i can.
I’ll set up a time Saturday. Are you free around 5/6pm that evening? Also I can be in tomorrow night Tuesday) but I’ll probably be busy this Thursday.
Max
Tomorrow would be great, we can prep, and you can give me instructions to continue with the rear panel.
I am out of town this weekend.

You might check out Fitzee’s Fabrications’ YouTube channel for an overview.
“YouTube University” is not a substitute for a hands-on class, but he does a lot of this sort of work and might help with orientation.
Fitzee is a hack. There are much better guys on YouTube.
