Current status of the ham antennas ( if any )

Do we currently have any HF antennas connected to the roof feeds ?

I do not believe there are any currently hooked up.
There’s been the kind of never-ending debate of non-penetrating roof mounts for them…

And then due to construction and the auctions and other things, the room has become kind of cluttered

When the room becomes more usable, I might get back on fixing up a 2 meter antenna and figuring out a mount for it, so we can set up to join local club nets and show what those are about.

That’s what I though. Thanks for the confirmation.

My $0.02 for when we do get started again:

a 2m/440 antenna would be nice for the new hams and local work.

For HF, I know we have a lot of fans of the tuner on the roof approach, so we should probably put that back up, with attention paid to waterproofing and a stable mount.

I’d love to see us put up a resonant antenna like a fan dipole as well. I think that would be better for some cases, especially testing equipment. One less piece to troubleshoot.

I’m pretty busy thru mid February. I should be able to lend a hand after that.

Is the ham radio group still active?

Pretty quiet right now. A decision was made to put in the new cables to the roof in a rather inhospitable location. Then said location was filled up with stuff during the expansion build.

There is some interest, but logistical hurdles remain.
