Current specs of printrbot

I was wondering, do we have a list of the current specs for the printrbot build? I was curious what hotend we ended up going with after seeing some of the woodfill and bronzefill samples at the space.

Revision F board I’m pretty sure. The hotend is the standard Ubis with a 0.4mm nozzle. We have a pack of nozzles with a bunch of different nozzle sizes up to 1.2mm.

It’s using Octoprint with IP 192.168.200.99, Cura is on the design computers and has the Printrbot profile. If you find good woodfill and bronzefill settings, please let us know and save the ini files.

Mitch is correct, it has a Rev F board. Configured to run on Octoprint. You can slice it with Cura, Kisslicer, or one of the other slicers… Cura and Kisslicer should have profiles configured for it. I believe Cura works best for our PrintrBot. If you decide to use one of the other nozzles, please do your research first to ensure you swap them out correctly. YouTube is your friend! Please open a ticket if anything needs repaired/replaced (if a nozzle clogs, etc…). As far as which types of filament you can use… Again, YouTube (and various forums) are wonderful for ideas and suggested settings. If you discover any settings that seem to work better than what we currently have; please share the knowledge by letting us know! Thanks!

Awesome. Thanks guys.

I came across a deal on a newer printrbot kit with similar specs and suckered myself into getting it. Especially knowing ya’lls success at the makerspace with it. I used some of the info from when ya’ll met to do the build at the makerspace, and of course youtube. I will be posting some of my adventures (and cura or slic3r profiles) soon. The main thing I was worried about was not having an all metal hotend for some of the exotics, however, it seems 50-50 with people online doing just fine with the Ubis 13 ceramic hotend and regular cleaning.

Kewlness! I’m looking forward to see what you make!

You can easily swap the Ubis with an E3D v6 I think it’s the same groovemount. Worth a shot if you want to try something like polycarbonate. Solid little printers though, I can wait to see how the progress on the wax filament is going.
