I saw this on YouTube today and thought this would be an awesome way to make some usable modules and it would be something that multiple makers could work together to build.

Amazing. Always wondered how ICs were created!
This was fascinating and clearly the high tide of vacuum tube technology as transistors were just coming to market and mentioned once in the video. I suspect that much of the equipment and processes survived a number of years into the transistor era.
