Crimper for telephone handset connector? (4P4C)

Do we have / does anyone know where I can get my hands on a telephone handset connector crimp tool? The one I have does 8p and 6p connectors, but the 4p looks like it won’t work!

I can loan you my personal crimp tool for this by dropping in your box the next time I’m by. I only ask that you treat it gently and return it in a reasonable timeframe.

Hopefully I will only need to use it once!

I don’t have a storage box at the space though.

That makes two of us. I won’t be at DMS (with the crimper) until Saturday sometime. What time works for you?

Your welcome to make use of my storage box (Zack knows where it is, and Art could show Daniel) if you would like an exchange point for the loan and the return.

That would actually be great. I could pop in next week, use it, and put it right back in the box.

Thanks guys!

Thank you, Walter. I’ll drop it in your box at my next opportunity.

Crimper is in Walter’s box.

Thanks for letting me use the tool. Unfortunately this is a 6p and an 8p crimp tool, identical (exactly identical) to mine.

A 4p (as opposed to a 6p4c) requires a different crimp anvil

Well crud. Sorry 'bout that.

@DanielHooper:

I have a 4P4C crimp tool in my hand. Next time I’m at the Space, I’ll drop it off and message you with pickup instructions. That may be a few days to a few weeks from now.

Slide the cable tie off of the handles to use the tool and put it back when you are finished. Otherwise, the tool will fall apart.

Thanks for the offer. I just went ahead and got one on Amazon for $12. I need to get this project wrapped up this weekend!

@DanielHooper:

Message received. Happy crimping!
