I want to make an islamic style screen aka jali…think lots of shaped holes that would be a total PIA to tab subsequently punch/sand
My thought is to run the multi cam with an onion skin then use the planer to take it off…or is there a better way? Just want to make sure I’m working smarter not harder.
There may be. @fedakkee has a class coming up on the 11th that may assist with concept. He is going to demonstrate creating a 9 sided bowl on CNC router. Key to that is, running same project front and back. Depending how you set your jali up, you might be able to run both sides with minimal post cleanup.
It’s going as a window insert so only 1 side needs to be well carved. Right now I’ve got it set up for a prisim, a pocket, and a trim path. I just am trying to avoid tabs lol. 2x sided might be doable without a crash!
