@frank_lima Check out this cool desk idea, I particularly like the triangle.
@Brandon_Green you need to show this to Allen, we could have even cheaper work tables!!!

We’re actually kicking around the idea of some CNC-routed work tables (we have one or two in the north area) after the success of the storage shelves…
They want $250 for each of these tables. That is insane… for $20 ok fine I can see that; $50 you are pushing it but $250!!!
I can tell you there is less than 10 dollars cost in each table at a production run of around 500 to 1000 tables, including all dies. $250 is so much profit that these guys can’t fail.
Please make some work tables for us old folks with bad knees. and being short, even the regular ones put the work surface at a poor place when I am standing up (that has been a constant problem for much of my life).
Looks like the Chinese are already working thier price reduction magic.
We could have made the new bin storage out of this stuff…
It’s a lifestyle
Sorry but that made coffee shoot out my nose.
After 10 months I imagine it left a stain?

Because people get work done setting up on a mountain vista, a golf course, the forest, and random spots in public in the city.
Yeah that was when I hit stop and said to myself…it’s a desk.
When I did a lot of juried art shows my set up was always heavier than I wanted it to be. I actually would have loved something like this and pop up shelves to reduce weight. It would have needed to be better looking than this but I would have been interested. Eventually I started building my own pro panel type walls and shelves which was much better but this would be even lighter. I don’t think I could have spent $250 on a cardboard desk but make it water/moisture proof and we have something.
I think you missed the part with the promise that the “magic dust” and “unicorn power” used to make the rest of the design will also make it impervious to all threats, including passage of time, water, uv light, Wolverine claws AND Capt. America’s shield attacks. Yep. You read that right. It’ll even defeat vibranium-adamantium alloy. (No data was shared in the film in regard to adamantium-vibranium alloys , Mjölnir, nor pissed off Bruces.)
Well… Sign me up. You had me sold at wolverine claws
