So this is a cool old-skool project the really piques my interest.
I have access to quite a bit of pecan wood, most of which is too old and weathered to be much more than firewood. However, if I could turn it into charcoal, that’d be super nice!
I’ve heard of designs which gassify part of the wood and then burn that to heat the rest of the wood in an oxygen-poor environment to make charcoal. Anyone know the magic form and dimensions for something like that?
