It’s standard terminology for hiring a lawyer, basically it outlines the expectations, pricing and such.
Boy, it better not be or someone has some explaining to do!

Now that really made me smile. I’m sure their spouses would be very surprised.
But as @AndrewLeCody points out it is a letter outlining prices, agreements, termination etc.
It’s ‘corporate-speak’. Google is your friend.
