For those who are into sci-fi / fantasy, especially of the written sort, ConDFW may be of interest. The guest of honor this year is John Scalzi. ConDFW is a fan run non-profit convention, unlike the other convention in town this weekend who just happened to get scheduled at the same time as ConDFW. That would be this weekend - Feb 12-14.
