Some of you may already be aware its time to update the musuem. This time around lets get creative!!! The museum will display the best of the year’s case mods while the winner by community vote will get the opportunity to meet Adam Savage at this year’s MOMACON.
To get those sweet brain juices flowing here’s a few ideas from the editor’s desk:
Yes, but you really should use 3M fluoroinert liquid Novac stuff.
It looks supper cool as it evaporates off the chips and condenses and drips back down from the top of the tank.
Also mineral oil is a bitch to work with.
A long time ago I use to be into case mods. Built a 3ft long ‘turbine’ case that had two house fans in it and a custom made (by me) control panel. I had thought about making something similar to that fish tank but it would be a computer case made to look like a naval sea mine.
No giant inspiration other than having never seen it before so I wanted to try it. Never finished it, had the idea of making it look more like a turbine or like a WWII spitfire with exhaust ports coming out the side and a pinup girl painted. I learned really quickly that computer cases are square for a reason, you lose a ton of room in a circular object with square parts.
