Common Room Etiquette/No Personal Storage

As you know, several awesome volunteers completely cleaned and organized the common room on Sunday.
This room especially needs to stay clean because it is one of the first and last rooms people see on tours.
To that end, no overnight storage of personal belongings will be allowed. If you bring it with you, then take it with you when you leave the building. Please do not set up permanent spots, as we can and will remove items left here.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep the place clean for our members!

I never said we’d can it. I suggest reading again.
Edited: it was my typo.

This is incorrect. You agreed to abide by the rules of the organization when you joined. Those rules include the following:

The Dallas Makerspace is not a storage facility, projects and materials that do not follow these rules, will be considered donations.

It is not illegal for the organization to clean up. Not to mention the fact that everything that’s not obviously trash gets moved to lost and found anyway, a procedure we’ve done for nearly a decade.

Thanks for your input Mark, the removed items are treated like the abandoned personal storage and are put into lost and found or purgatory for 30 days before we toss anything.

This is a courtesy. We aren’t tossing stuff while people are working overnight, these items have generally been untouched for a few days.

Thank you for the clarification. I was referring to the “we will can” part of the op. It may have been a typo.
