I am hoping this message somehow gets to Burt @SWA . I am new to DMS.
I have a friend (not a DMS member) who is wanting to commission a custom wood door for her house. I think she would like to get in touch with someone, who would be capable and willing. I don’t know the process on how you guys bid for jobs but I was told to start here. 
just tag @SWA or you can DM him by looking him up in ‘users’ off the menu, selecting his name, and hitting the message button that appears.

Thank you. I will try tagging him, because when I searched his name and looked at his profile, there was no little message symbol that I could see. Many thanks for the help!

Ah. You might try reading through the Read This First and interact with the bot all the way through. You haven’t hit “Basic” level yet just through reading and posting. PMing people won’t be an option until you’ve gotten to “Basic”, and that’s the fastest way.
When I click on my icon, my first square says “Regular”. You need yours to say “Basic”. First Emoji is cool, but doesn’t get you much in the way of permissions.

Wow, thank you so much for explaining that. How totally pointless and frustrating of the robot to demand that! 
haha! I will do my best to have the robot deem me worthy of reaching out to somebody directly. This would’ve never occurred to me in 1 million years so really thank you for explaining it to me.

Eventually one can get there simply by reading and maybe posting. I read Everything, and apparently I didn’t want to PM anyone until I’d hit Basic by simply reading and doing a little posting.
