Needs a new retaining cap. The ohmic contact is no longer making contact with the sheild. I couldn’t spot a new one, so I put a sign up and let the chair know.
Randy says he’ll pick one up in the next day or so.

Probably, but with more information and should have stopped at the time.
The reason he couldn’t disassemble it wasn’t because the ring was spinning, it was the body was overtorqued. I had to use a strap wrench to get it off. It may be that the ring is loose because someone was trying to get the body loose and bent the ohmic contact ring. Regardless, no ohmic contact means no initial height setting or crash detection.
