I have a few projects I’d like to complete in the cnc. I haven’t used it since before covid and was wondering what file types it can convert to g code? Do we have conversion software as well?
If you’re talking about Vcarve, the file types you can open are: crv, dxf, eps, ai, pdf, svg
what these all have in common are they are vector files (i.e. Vector files are images that are built by mathematical formulas that establish points on a grid).
Load in your vector, apply toolpaths to them. tell it to save the toolpaths at which point you assign a post processor and it will generate code.
