@got_tools - I see the Woodshed CNC is part of the “CNC certification program”. Couple of questions, is this something a rising high school senior can learn? It appears Part 1 is already done, will that significantly affect the learning journey

I teach Part 1 of the CNC classes. I put the class as 18+ up class. I am not sure how someone that is under 18 would have taken the class.
I am inquiring for my son and no he hasn’t taken Part 1. I was saying I don’t see Part 1 in the Events Calendar and if it’s something he can qualify for, what would have been the steps to take Part 1 (that was with the assumption he would be eligible)

The woodchuck woodchuck currently has a rule. No one under the age of majority is allowed to operate any of the tools… however individuals under the age of 18 with direct parent supervision are allowed to utilize the woodshop. This means that the parent and the student must take woodshop safety and orientation. However, only the parent is allowed to actually operate the power Tool the student is not allowed to operate them if they’re under the age of 18.
Well, my son and I’m sure your child is brilliant and smart enough to operate the equipment safely . Individuals under the age of 18 technically cannot recognize dangerous situations. Due to the lack of experience, I hope no one has experience in dangerous situations, other than soldiers.
