My parent’s house got hit directly. The yard’s a mess and they lost a tree, AC and window but most of the damage doesn’t sound terrible. Neighbors lost a barn. Fortunately they weren’t home. Bout to go check out the damage in the light of day.

The space itself was only a few miles from damage

I hope all the makers in the area are ok.

Please check in and let us know that everyone’s ok.

I heard a Home Depot near Royal Lane isn’t there anymore. Scary stuff!

There is damage in the immediate vicinity of the old space on Ladybird Lane. Walnut Hill and Monroe (the turn off to get to the old space) took a direct hit.

Places we walk to were hit but not us. Not much wind or rain - just an ugly sky and ugly lightning. Decent dose of rain and wind with the 11:30 pm line of storms that came through in the night.

The Sky Ranger helicopter is flying above what looks to be Preston Hollow or Highland Park, based on the size of the homes. There is a lot of damage there.

The link goes to live coverage, and has a list of road closures.

holy crap wow

We were in DMS when the twister set down. There were 3 - 5 power flashes, then out went the lights for minutes.

Check your electronics, computers, etc…for damage.

Amazing with that damage nobody died or got life-threatening injuries. Maybe because many were at home watching a ball game, one of the safer places to be…

The track of the tornado can be clearly seen at night:

Took a direct hit. Everyone is fine except the wild bunny that lived in our side yard. Lots of glass from broken windows, lots of roof damage (it looks like a total loss). One car totaled. Someone elses roof is in our pool. We USED to have a shaded street but many trees are gone. power out and talking about weeks for restoration. Compared to out neighbors, we were lucky!
