Some equipment requires qualification to use, others do not. While the wiki is dated, it’s still a reasonable source of information. https://dallasmakerspace.org/wiki
Still, you need to ask around for specific facilities.
In-person classes appear on the calendar at: https://calendar.dallasmakerspace.org/
The problem is that classes often fill quickly. You may want to watch the discord calendar channel. New classes appear there as soon as they post.
You are clearly already on Talk, so you can ask questions here, and committee specific questions can be posted to the appropriate category (like Machine Shop.)
All of these use your DMS login username/password EXCEPT discord. You need to establish an account there. Beware! There are two DMS servers on Discord, an ‘official’ one and an unofficial one. Both have useful information.
thanks for the reply

Those classes are a work in progress. The Woodshop Committee is working on changing/streamlining/improving the Woodshop Safety & Orientation Class. It will take time though.
There are hands-on classes that also cover both of those machines [as well as bandsaws] that are given some-what regularly too.
