Class idea: Wheel Alignment

One of the things that I have never (successfully) done is a wheel alignment.

Does anyone have the know-how and willingness to give a class on this subject? I would be very interested in attending.

Once you understand caster, camber, toe, it’s just a matter of loosening the relevant suspension part, adjusting it into place, and tightening it. Without a laser alignment machine you can’t do a very good job. We ‘aligned’ the lemons car last year manually and will probably do the same again this year unless someone has a friend who can get an alignment done for cheap.

I’ve seen a few videos where this was done with a bubble caster/camber gauge and some string/tape measure. How close does this get? Are laser-alignment systems expensive?

They don’t HAVE to be…

There are also things like [this][1], which make “manual” alignment much easier and more accurate. (This seems like a pretty decent maker project in and of itself, IMO)

To the original question, I have the know-how, and depending on the interest, would be willing to teach a class on basic alignment, obviously depending on the interest level and equipement available…
