Does anyone know of a cheaper way to read tolltag ATA rfid tags?
The TRANSCORE SMARTPASS® 4 RFID READER is over 5 grand online.
I know it can be built, but I think something already designed for outdoor use would be more durable.
Look into ThingMagic - their readers are a couple hundred, but you’ll also need a software license to decode ATA
The other question is distance. RFID reading over long distances is expensive.
