Cheap pinball finds - discussion thread for new projects

I honestly don’t know what’s fair. Mother was thinking $15, because it doesn’t have the cars (we haven’t found them yet!), but that seemed a little low to me, considering the thing is huge, & has the power supply & handheld switches.

Guys… please use PM’s to further this discussion. Thx.

Nice find Nick! I already have one of my dream machines coming, I wish I had the extra cash to get this one. This is definitely a machine you can sell if you get tired of it.

This just appeared on Craigslist a few minutes ago. Not bad price for a working game.

1971 Williams Doodle Bug Pinball - $500 (Downtown)
Doodle Bug full size pinball in great shape. Fully working. Playing field in good shape and recently waxed.

IPDB info on Doodle Bug

Looks nice & I think it is a fun game. You can never trap the ball when the Doodle Bug is creeping along… always have to stay on your toes.

Star Trek - 1979 by Bally - $500

Doesn’t work, but well-kept, and most likely a nice project.

Prices ranging from $200 to $350

Enjoy!

The middle ad was for the Fan-Tas-Tic which the seller says was already sold. Wish he’d pull the ad.

Lots of gun games to be found. I like the idea of gun games, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any with enough depth to keep me interested for long. Nearly all of them are novelty games. Though if I ever found a Kasco Ninja Gun… I’d be interested in that for sure. Ninjas scaling walls, projection images, and the scenery changes from night to day. Really cool:

Glass has obvious touch-ups, but is “reasonably there” and the playfield looks great. Mechs do too from what I can tell. Would be a great first project… it’s a fun game. Only potential caveat is none of the photos have the metal rails/lockbar frame which holds the playfield glass. Don’t buy if it doesn’t have that.

Tempted to offer up a Bally Flip-Flop that’s had some work done on the mechs and a nearly-complete set of replacement playfield plastics … but neither Jayson nor Chuck seem to have tired of it squatting in their storage unit. Yet.

Can always talk to me about making woodrails and lockdown bar…
