Dear potter, if this is your piece we need information on what we have here before it will be fired. What is the substance the piece is sitting in?
Please provide the kiln team with an explanation/details as to why you believe this to be ok in a cone 6 kiln firing.
This is my piece. It is sitting on aquarium sand. It has little to no iron content so it doesn’t melt even at cone 12 (in fact this has gone through more than one firings at Brookhaven).
The sand is in a piece that has been fired at cone 10+ at Brookhaven.
