But WTF is it and why would we want it?
Here is a general description from Cisco Systems
We are going to be posting simple ones and perhaps later hard ones to TALK.
Feel free to challenge your mind and skills.
The difference in other challenges is that we are going to discuss them after it closes.
In this way, you can learn more about doing them and what is involved.

I think I read the link and all posted challenges and I have not a clue what to do to solve any of them but it certainly seems interesting and we’ll set up! One day I’ll learn what some of this stuff actually means haha
This will be a learning experience for many people. We are going to discuss how one might go about solving each of these after they close. This should give you some ideas for the next set. 
When is the closing slated? Sorry if I missed it, but I’m not seeing did not see it stated on any of the challenges when they were posted nor in the general discussion…
It is actually stated on all of the challenges. Currently, they all close 5/2/2018
