Hi,
Yesterday there was an open question at the Laser training class—if it’s okay to look into the laser while while the machine is cutting. If the machine top/glass is closed are additional safety glasses needed?

No additional safety glasses needed.
Windows on covers filter / attenuate the infrared wavelength.
Also why laser will not run when covers are up.
Cheat the safety interlocks and get banned…
Thanks @artg_dms.
Does the laser area have glasses for us to wear or do we need to bring our own?
Not that I’m aware of.
If you’re using the lasers correctly, you don’t need them.
Oh I misread your response. Thank you for the heads up!
Art is correct but keep in mind the spot being cut can also be very bright in the visible range so keep that in mind. There shouldn’t be any infrared concerns.
