I am renovating a long abandonned car which has very rusty rotors. I know the end result isn’t going to be amazing or permanent, but can I cut off the rust at DMS, and what lathe / tool would I use please?
MDS doesn’t have a brake lathe… I don’t know if automobile has plans purchase one or not?

This gets discussed a lot here. The general consensus is rotors are inexpensive enough that unless you can’t find the part for the car or just really have an urge to DIY it, it’s probably not worth it to. Especially if you have to get trained on a tool and become good enough to do the job correctly.
Also, Oreilly’s offers this service at some stores:

Nope there is no plans for a brake lathe
And there is the fact that rotors are cast iron. The dust generated is hard on machines and requires special care to prevent it from getting in everything. The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze.
Fair dues - thanks all. They are pretty inexpensive, I was just looking to expand my skillset. It’s no longer frugal February, so I’ll just get some new ones.
