Call for the 2025 Coffin Race Theme

As we are getting close to the actual race and the build is almost complete we have yet to decide on a theme for this year. Last year we had a bunch of amazing 3D printed bones on a dark red tube frame as well as other generic spooky items.

This year the only thing we have is some handle bars that could be made to look like horns, we were thinking it could be goat horns and we could try to get some sort of goat skull on the front, but we need more than that. So we are looking for ideas as well as anyone who wants to help decorate the coffin. We should be doing so next weekend because the week after is the race up in Denton.

The coffin can be found in the back of the metal shop if anyone wants to get measurements or wants to see progress. I’ll try to update with pictures after our work day tonight.

Cow skulls are a common prop in westerns.

A stereotype is rich Texans with horns on their big cars.

How about horns on the hood of a hearse?

This is the 2025 coffin racer, we tried to make it as light weight as possible and stll maintain the coffin shape. So far seems pretty fast. We will be cleaning the flux off and powdercoating this week, then add brakes.
