Class Description

By the end of the 40 credit hour class students would be expected to have experience with devops, data science, and automation tools. Along with made at least one automated trade on the test network (ie no real and/or fiat money involved) and progressed towards completing either the Backend Development or Data Visualization Certifications.

Class Topics

  1. Setting up Tensorflow and developing Machine Learning models
  2. Building scipy and tf base bots for automated trading via Poloniex and Quandl APIs against the bitcoin Testnet3 network.
  3. Using Grafana, Telegraf, Redis, and MongoDB as datastore and graphing tools
  4. Deploying clustered applications to Docker Swarm via TravisCI and Git

Requirements

  1. Passed the Python class or
  2. Sign up for VCC Community Grid access
  3. Working laptop with docker installed.
  4. Modern IDE vim, atom, sublime, or c9 (caveat c9 is now a aws product and requires registration with amazon).

Certification Offered

Class time will cover overlapping topics in both Data Visualization Certificates and Backend Development Certificates
