Does anyone know of a local company, or the closest ones to DFW, that does bronze casting? Looking for a company that can cast belt buckles for me. Also looking for alternatives to bronze.
My experience - just about anybody who is in the imprinted stuff business can have this sort of thing done. (usually overseas.)
You might contact Plano Pin Co. - they do a lot of cloissone and otherwise lapel pins, and belt buckles fall into the same basic category.
When I was still working, and somehow wound up the guru of service pins, I worked with J. Brandt company in Fort Worth off and on over the years.
They have custom belt buckles listed under “gifts” on their website.
As I recall, the lower-cost metals/designs were produced overseas. Higher-end/customized work was done domestically. For example, the vast majority of the people getting service pins in the district when I got my first round of bids were in the 5/10/15 year groupings. The numbers dropped a when you got to 20/25/30/35 etc. Our high-volume pins were made overseas, the others were produced domestically and set with faux gemstones with colors denoting the years of service.

Inused tonwork at one in Lubbock but the owner died and it closed. Looks like another one opened up, but I donnotnknow anything about them.

Thanks, I’ll check those places out. I need to find another caster that is based in the US.
