These drills aren’t intended for the amount of use and abuse they see. For example, the Ryobi drills that I have at home have lasted years with moderate use. The drills at DMS get used all day everyday. We can’t get contractor grade tools due to cost, theft, and abuse.
If we can get a good deal on ryobi gear, I think we should get double the number we think we need and put them on a schedule. It seems as if these last about 6 to 9 months. The impacts get used/abused more than the drills due to automotive use.
Of course we can go draconian ruleset and have a tool crib =)
