The Kurt vise on the Bridgeport was so jammed up with gobs of chips (mostly steel) that it wouldn’t close tighter than about 3/4”!
And … the T-slots in the bed were also clogged up with a bunch of steel chips.
Shop Mom cleaned up your mess.
As a friendly reminder:
- the Sherline vacuum can get into the vise channels to clean it out.
2). We have a tool to clean out the T-slots. It is stuck to the side of the mill with a magnet.
