Hello - Last time I was at the space (2 weeks or so ago) there was a note on the Bridgeport indicating that it was down and to see the Talk board. I see no mention of it here.
Also 2 weeks ago, when I found the Bridgeport was inoperable, I tried using the Clausing lathe for another project and could not get the autofeed to work on the carriage.
Could anyone please advise on the status of the machines? Thank you.
They are both operational as of yesterday.
The lathe auto feed is subject to the gears not meshing. The solution is try rolling the auto feed bar (the notched cylinder rod) and if it spins easily, go over the feed levers until the rod seems to be locked into gear.

When there are issues they are typically reported in “Issues & Requests”. That’s “inside the firewall” and you can only see it if you have a Green Dot that identifies you as a member. Go to this post and follow the instructions to get your green dot and then you will be able to see if there are issues reported.
