I have a family friend who recently bought some D&D sets to send to a cousin in TDCJ but made the mistake of purchasing them locally in person. The issue is that Texas prisons requires that these items be shipped directly from a verified supplier. Now without the ability to return the ones already purchased, they’re stuck with them.
They’ve been wanting to find someone to buy them since it’s a pricey game for someone who doesn’t play. I know we have a fairly decent D&D following at Makerspace and told them I’d put the word out here first to see if anyone would be interested. They’re kinda stressed about the unnecessary purchase so they haven’t set a specific price but would be open to offers and negotiation.
For anyone interested, message me and I can forward you their contact info.
Are there others out there interested in DMS having these as In-House games and willing to contribute to buying and donating to DMS.
I last played D&D in 1986 … so not quite an avid player. Heck the books I have are probably collectors’ items now.

The person selling wants $300 for all of them. I have no idea if that is a fair/good price. But some advice from those that do know would be appreciated. So far we have $150 towards it: $100 from me, $50 from Julie. Lets get some $20 donations rolling in and we’ll git 'er done.

It seems pretty fair from what I could tell. They are recent releases and are unopened still in the plastic wrap. This is the closest thing I could find:
I couldn’t find each one individually, but there are a few bundles that are similar with a box or two more.
I would accept $150 if this is going to be donated to the DMS! feel free to reach out to me at 469-861-9430 My name is Josh.
