According to the directions on the jar, to help keep the Bisque Fix moist, please leave a thin layer of water on top of the Bisque Fix. I have put that layer of water on top of the BF. When you use it, please pour the water off into a small cup. Use the BF, then pour that same water back on top when you close it.
There was no water on top when I opened our jar. Further, the directions say that you should make sure that the top and threads are clean before closing. I counted myself lucky that I could open it, as it was shedding crumbs all over the place.
