Better grips for the sherline lathe tommy bars

those small stell tommy bars can be hell on your fingers, so I made a set of knurled caps which should be a little more comfortable and provide better leverage. I’ll make a set for the other lathe once it’s up and running. cheers!

Perhaps we can mill a flat on one side of each “handle” so they won’t roll off the table quite so easily?

Can’t say I favor that. That’s why we drilled holes in the board to hold them

I would agree with you if you are saying Makers ALWAYS put things back, otherwise +1 vote for gray umbraging cat (another thread)… Will put on Machine Shop agenda and put these tyrannical expressions of disfavor.:grin:

why? considering they are now up at an angle due to the addition of the handle, and textured they are less apt to roll anywhere.
