Best time for regular Digital Media Committee meetings

I’m wanting to start having monthly committee meetings for Digital Media. I figure Saturdays are good for most people and sometime after the next board meeting. I’m tagging all of you that are signed up on are wiki as committee members. Tag any others that I missed. I know some are not on Talk and I will need to contact you. I would like to get an email announce email list setup.

I would like to know when you think a good time would be for us to meet?

Lets get this party started and make some great stuff…

You know what would be really kewl - especially with the resources y’all have at your fingertips?!! Some type of interactive streaming video incorporated along with your meetings to allow members who can’t be there in person to participate! (I’ve been hoping for the 'Space to start doing that with all of our meetings for the longest time! It’d be super awesome if we could finally get a standard that works for the 'Space rolling!!) :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

I’ve used Google Hangouts a couple of times for 3D Fab and a PR meeting a while back. And a couple of times Pearce streamed member meetings (a long time ago) via Hangouts when a couple of us couldn’t be there in person, but wanted to participate. It is definitely better than nothing…

We had a couple of Board Meetings streamed on YouTube - which is better, in my opinion, because it saves the streamed meeting as a video that can be watched later for those without access at the time of the meeting. The downside to it was no interactivity…

I’m on my phone at the moment (fixin to go to sleep, hopefully… lol?). I know there are ways to have a meeting streamed with an interactive component like video hangouts and/or a text “chat” on the sidebar. Google has recently made some changes, and off the top of my head I don’t remember what all they stopped doing along those lines.

I’ll look into it more later, and if anyone else knows of a free/affordable resource that would allow us to easily stream with interactive components that also allows the stream to be saved… Please chime in!! :slight_smile:

saturdays or sundays are good. i’m free sundays before 4 or after 6

Weekends suck for me, either I’m catching up on things around the house, dating, or getting things ready for other projects and the day job.

but… if we do a google hangouts/yt live stream then I can make it on sundays otherwise Friday’s are best.

When did Friday’s stop being part of the weekend? :slight_smile:

Unfortunately I am almost the opposite of denzuko’s schedule. Saturday’s are best, Thursday’s are second best. Hangout on Sunday evening would be OK.

I typically hold classes on Thursdays so that may work depending on the timing.
