Nw propane charges a fixed amount for a refill. You over pay if there is anything existing in the tank. Checkout u-haul.com as they sell by the gallon. Different locations have different prices.

This place sells it for $15.99 for the BBQ Grill size tanks. They are on the east side of 75 on Parker Rd.

Pay by the gallon, can recertify, used to give bulk discount too so if you brought in several tabks you got a cheaper price overall crossing past whatever gallon measurement was of say 2 or 3 tanks…

Uhaul offers quantity discounts. I routinely fill 6 tanks at a time.
The Destiny RV campground in Corinth isn’t bad either.
My normal practice is to take tanks that are getting ready to expire (or have) and trade them in a rip-off grocery store exchange. I insist on picking my own tank and can usually score a brand new tank that has only been traded in once and hasn’t been repainted by the Blue Rhino people. Can’t believe how many people will trade in their brand new tank.
